Following the success of Dealing Dogs for HBO, undercover animal rights activist "Pete" takes to the road again this time to reveal the behind-the-scenes workings of factory farms, including a pig farm in Ohio, a horse slaughterhouse, a turkey slaughterhouse and hundreds of puppy mills. He also makes a visit to Capitol Hill to lobby congress for animal welfare legislation.

Provocateur will explore difficult questions both for Pete and America. Can we adequately feed our people and at the same time maintain a humane standard of care for the animals we consume? Can small advocacy groups fight big agriculture and lax government enforcement? Can Pete maintain his sanity as he goes from one horrific assignment to the next? Is it really worth giving up any personal life to dedicate himself to the animals?
